Copy files with scp
- To copy a directory from your workstation to the current directory on your EXPLOR working environment if you have created an SSH alias (see creating an SSH alias):
scp -r <directory> meso-explor:
- Otherwise:
scp -r -P xxxx <directory> your_username@193.54.9.82:
xxxx is your connection port.
Synchronize a folder with rsync
- To synchronize a directory from your workstation to the current directory on your EXPLOR working environment:
rsync -avzre "ssh -p xxxx" <directory> your_username@193.54.9.82:
xxxx is your connection port.
Folder sharing with X2GO
X2GO allows read/write sharing of a directory from your personal workstation to your EXPLOR working environment. To enable this feature, follow the instructions below:
- In "Shared Folders", add the folders you want to share and check the options (Auto-mount, SSH Tunnel...) as shown:

- On the next connection, shared folders are available in $HOMEDIR/media/disk

Warning
A common X2GO issue is that directories containing accented or non-standard characters may fail to be shared.
Note
Submitting SLURM jobs from a shared folder is not allowed.
